On Saturday 14 March 2026 Richard Fuller CBE, MP for North Bedfordshire and Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury was invited to the Swiss Garden to dedicate a replacement statue of Fidelity and the renovated Summerhouse.

There is an early 1900s distant photograph of Fidelity but her original location within the Swiss Garden is not known. The Summerhouse was dismantled and taken off site for extensive renovation during the Summer of 2025.

Richard Fuller said how pleased he was to be asked to unveil the plaques for the Statue and the Summerhouse and what a lovely space the Garden was for people to contemplate the beauty of nature. At the Summerhouse he introduced Tim Atkins and Justin Casburn, the two contractors who had been responsible for the renovation work, and asked them to assist him with the unveiling of the plaque.

The Friends of the Swiss Garden funded the purchase of the Fidelity statue and were supported by the Shuttleworth Trust in funding the renovation work on the Summerhouse.
